Slowdive were on of the most popular Shoegaze bands in the early 90's and mixed sound walls with dreamy vocals and melodies from heaven. If you are going to listen, listen on a high volume with closed eyes or when you're high on heroin. (Even if i strongly recommend not to take heroin)

Now when the summer is around the corner i'm gonna post this jewel. Future Islands with A Dream Of You And Me. Recommend that you listen to it while walking on a beach in a warm evening.

Nice, I'll have to have a listen to what you all have posted, always looking for good tunes. I'm both very picky and extremely diversified. I don't care what genre it's from, I listen to everything from Mozart to Judas Priest.
Got a question for you Tompa. I heard this band and I forget the name but I'm pretty sure they were out of Scandinavia somewhere. They had a kind of jazz\swing\pop sound going, almost a big band sound like Glenn Miller or Benny Goodman... any ideas as to who they are?
EDIT I'll chuck in a song, a little folk\reggae sound for you all.

Hmm, sounds like a band called Movits!, that's the only band i know of that combines swing/jazz with swedish pop/hiphop. it's not my kind of music but they are pretty big in Sweden.

Thanks, that's the band I was looking for.
I'll chuck in another song... this is just fringe stuff I'm throwing out there, not about to post 30 Beatles songs.

(Even if i strongly recommend not to take heroin) I have been lucky enough to see Slowdive twice live in the early 90's... Another shoegaze favorite of mine that nearly made me deaf after seeing them live

Fuck man...Wish i could've seen them. I guess it was fucking awesome? It was insane...They played a 16-17 min version of " You made me realize " with full strobe lights and something that sounding like jet airplanes crashing into each other. I've been really lucky and have seen many of those " shoegaze" bands live. Ride, Lush, Catherine Wheel, Chapterhouse, Cocteau Twins, Swervedriver , Jesus & Mary Chain, Curve,Pale Saints, Slowdive etc etc.

Fuck man...Wish i could've seen them. I guess it was fucking awesome? Slowdive are playing again this year. Not my cup of tea, but they're coming to Barcelona for the Primavera Sound, probably the best music festival in the world. Other artists on the massive line-up that I'm very excited to see: Antibalas, NYC finest. Pixies, right in my teens. Black Lips, those Tijuana crazies from Atlanta, GA. Seun Kuti, the other son. Jagwar Ma, 2013's best first album. Charles Bradley, the screaming eagle of soul. John Wizards, from South Africa. Jupiter Lion, kraut spanish power. The Ex, good old Holland punks. Dr. John, enough said.

Fuck man...Wish i could've seen them. I guess it was fucking awesome? One of the better guitar pop bands from the 90's that no one knows about is from Sweden " Grass- Show...Not sure if your familiar with them, only one album but it was good.

I dunno if you guys have heard of buckethead, he's basically an alien. He has 55+ albums in various genres. Listen to the whole thing. Buckethead is amazing!! Being close to San Francisco I've seen him solo and as Giant Robot, Deli Creeps, El Stew and Praxis...Here is a taste of lots of styles and a screaming version of Hendrix " Machine Gun "
