I could care less if the game looks better on next gen or PC. The fact remains that R* hasn't been able to control modders, glitches and many other problems and all they do is give us fans the silent treatment. I am not saying I won't buy another R* game, but I refuse to purchase the exact same game that is going to have the exact same problems and in the end we get the exact same silent treatment.
I think the new story mode will be a huge selling point and included in the next gen version of the game. I don't mean to sound bitter, for those of you that are looking forward to this. I am just not impressed with R*'s level of service and communication with their customers. If that were to change, than I would have a whole different attitude regarding the situation.

Depending on price etc then I'll would get this for the Xbone, personally I feel if you have already purchased the game then there should be some sort of 'trade old for new' discount but i know we don't really live in that world  |

Xbox 1 and I like the fact u can transfer your player for 360 to the xbox 1..... still need some more info i want some exclusive shit plus houses new apartments more stuff added to the online world to do.... and more players online.... IM sure heist will be out soon now GTA has done the 360 and the PS3 dirty with how they take there time doing shit

I don't know where everyone is getting the idea that GTA V is going to be completely revamped with new features of some sort. If anything, the game is probably just going to run ALOT smoother than the current version out now (smoother/faster times loading textures, more NPC's due to the "NPC cap" on current gen, and probably other little things but nothin to make someone purchase the exact game again for $60) I also really don't see any DLC coming out with it either, R* releasing GTA V for new gen is obviously another way of milking profit sales and it even gives them an even longer window on releasing some actual DLC. And may I remind everybody that HEISTS STILL AREN'T OUT yet R* is already making plans to release a game (that isn't even complete!) for 3 more consoles lol it's really mind boggling but lets just say I trust Rockstar enough to keep playing GTA V on my 360  |

At least R* lives up to their word, they gave us the biggest heist of all time. Buy the game for current generation consoles, and then release it on next gen console to double your profits. If the company had any integrity they would have just put all of their efforts into next gen development. They could have offered even a $10 discount to those who have the older version or something like that, but that clearly isn't going to happen as they are taking pre-orders now.
It really sucks that gaming companies are getting away with giving us less and we just take it on the chin.

I'm probably gonna have to upgrade my hardware, but I'm pretty excited about the PC release. I might buy an Xbone eventually but I'm not particularly interested in it right now.

Really on the fence with next gen consoles. Had ps1 and ps2 but went 360 after. Servers have always been better on 360 than ps3. Now I'm used to 360 controller and don't know if I'd get used to ps4 controller with the analogue stick in the wrong place. But most people seem to be converting to ps4 because Microsoft are so money grabbing. Also Microsoft seem to get more exclusive dlc or earlier dlc than Sony. Arghhhhhh!

I believe there are adapters to use each controller cross platform, so there probably will be to use the xbox controller on the ps4. Does either console have wired controllers any more?

Definitely PS4... when is another thing. If the online game gets things like that traffic congestion and wildlife I don't think I'll be able to resist. If those things are still only in the single player experience it'll be a bargain bin purchase for me... course if R* does something really nice like half price for people who already own the game...
Seems I was correct on the reason why they are trickling content to us so slowly. They have been using most of their resources working on the new ports and all the new content for those ports. Notice the tach and speedometer work in cars in that vid. New animals, new scenery.
EDIT heh and I can see all the whining that's going to happen when people start trying to lose the cops in all that traffic.

You know Destiny is coming out on multiple systems? ;] If I had money, I think I would maybe look at a PS4, but then I would be paying for two online services and I don't think that'd be viable. Order 1886 looks neat, but doesn't look to last beyond a playthrough or two. I think that I will probably buy it for PC as I won't have money to afford either an Xbox One nor a PS4. Unfortunately, I don't like how open ended their systems have been typically and I hope they tighten up online security on that system as modders and 'hackers' ran rampant on GTA4 for PC. Eventually I might pick it up for the ONE since I tend to like Xbox games better than Sony's. Gears of War and Halo were always standbys for me, but we'll see how they look since I hated GoW: Judgement and Halo 4. |
