Yesterday (or today really) i was racing my time trial, by 2:00am when i'm about to go to sleep i see "x2 RP, x2 $" in all activities in the voting screen. Well... i got to bed 3 hours and 500000$ later. I didn't wanna turn off the PS3 afraid that the next time it would't be there anymore. I felt like Joey and Chandler when they got free porn.

Holy toledo batman! I really should be doing yard work but damn. It's only two days, I can hold off yard work for two days right? I'm going to log some serious playtime, and make up for it IRL on Sunday. Ya that's the ticket. I don't farm missions, so if anyone wants to make cash in the next two days without farming one mission hit me up.
EDIT Had a thought that maybe R* is doing this to load test their servers, it's a good way to get a lot of people playing over the next two days.

Either way, I'm gonna grind the hell out of rooftop today. I'm trying to mix things up and practice the melee only technique so if anyone wants to learn it shoot me a message. Otherwise it's just easier to run solo. |

My point is, Rockstar can now justify absurdly inflated in-game prices by saying "but we gave you a whole weekend to grind for money! It's not our fault you weren't dedicated enough to use that time to save up 10 million dollars!" It was mostly a joke, anyway. I don't think they're that greedy. |
