Hello fellow racers! With the influx in people digging races, we thought it would be cool to create "Vice City Motorsports Club", a more centralized place for racing events and general vehicle/racing related discussion. Some of the events will be familiar to you (Time Trials, Thursday Created Race Playlist, etc), plus we have some new event ideas we're going to be trying. Of course if you have any ideas, as always feel free to get in touch and let us know how we can help get them up and running whether they are car shows, another race series, one off endurance races, or whatever other great ideas you can come up with. There's no membership or anything like that, everyone in the crew is invited to participate in all events (barring lobby sizes) and discussions. We're going to try our best to make events cross-platform when possible, most of the time it would just take someone hosting on each side. Obviously sometimes it's just not going to work, but if you see something you like on the opposite console, step up and host a similar event on yours! The Time Trials board has now become the home of the Motorsports Club. Nothing will change about the Time Trials event itself (or any other existing event), other than that the name of this board will change, and the fact that it will now be beside other exciting events that hopefully elicit the same amount of friendly competition we see each week. Just wanted to give everyone the head's up, but feel free to post any comments or questions you might have. |

I have a couple ideas I have floating around, looking for input. I'd like to try to put together one or two more weekly or bi-weekly events (plus whatever one time/limited time events you guys come up with), and hear what other events you guys would like to see. - Thursday is our testing ground for new created races (and of course, running some old favourites) on Xbox. Once again if anyone on PS3 would like to step up and host something similar Im sure it would be of interest to a few. And I'd be glad to help you set up a system similar to the one IVIikeOnXbox has set up for us to submit your races each week. - I'd like to begin a Rally Series with an ongoing leaderboard (perhaps broken into seasons, and changing the race style each new season). If anyone is willing to host a PS3 event the same day to correspond we can hold a simultaneous PS3/Xbox series. Think of doing this on Sundays, but could move it to another day if it's better suited, I just think most people generally have Sundays off, and that way it's easiest to hit the west coast players of America at the start of their day and the east of Europe at the end of theirs. - laxusstrife was talking here about a car show/cruise for PS3. Would be a great opportunity to pull out your favourite rides and take some photos. Maybe this is something that could happen every other week to show off your new rides on both consoles. - I'd also be interested in finding other crews and holding more "Challenge Series" type races similar to Sunday. Those would be a bit more randomly scheduled obviously. Any other ideas anyone has floating around? |

I think something like the Endurance Race maxgregor hosted could be a weekly or monthly event.. Obviously not necessarily a Created race every time.. I just don't think we can have a Motorsport division without actual racing against each other. Also, there doesn't need to be a huge prize like last time (although that was cool) |

We should do races in some of the car types we don't usually race in. (Sports Classics, Coupes etc.) or, at least I don't really race in these classes.

^You mean for the time trials? The thing is some people have custom modded cars in those classes but most don't.

I was thinking for both races and TT, but I can see what you mean with people not having a modded car for it. But I guess it would be possible once the update comes out and people are able to have 2 garages.

It's 4 races I made for super cars, on big wide roads laid out with barriers to make it feel like a F1 circuit. rsg.ms/RmKYouThe link only shows one of the races.. I will definitely try out the playlist one of these days, though. It sounds like good fun! |

Even with the 2nd garage I don't plan on having any coupes, sedans, SUVs, or compacts.
