Stupid. It's like bringing a cake to a pie eating contest, just makes no sense.

Stupid. It's like bringing a cake to a pie eating contest, just makes no sense. It wouldn't be completely wrong with bringing Cake and Pie together in perfect harmony. They're practically cousins. Lol. Now if it were like bringing hotdogs to pie eating contest... I'm pretty sure it's illegal in 13 states already. ... What are we talking about again?

It's just an exhibit and more of a sideshow. Besides this is the Austin event, not the flagship Summer X event held at Staples Center. It's also pretty smart from a marketing standpoint. myreactiongifs.com/gifs/illallowit.gif

By adding video games, the X Games have become exponentially less extreme. I'm all for pro gamers getting paid if they're the best (not sure how they're established as the best), but this is a dumb move, to me.

My homie vikoon loves sports and I believe he'd fully agree with my view on this ridiculous possibility of adding yogurt(video games) to a plate of steak and shrimp(X Games) Being an extreme sports athlete since the age of six and maintaining my peak physical shape, even now when I've broken my leg; I'm still working out/cardio/watching my diet daily. So for a bunch of nerds (yea I know some of them might be cool/in-shape as well/etc.) coming to the X Games lowers the extreme side of what I'm proud to call the X Games, something I've dreamed of entering doing freestyle motocross possibly down the line once I master racing motocross. X Games is for athletes who are not afraid to push the limits and instead, USE fear to their advantage to push them to do things few people will ever do, so I see this as an insult to the culture of extreme sports i live by. Keep the video game tournaments how they are. My suggestion: MLG should get their own TV channel and hold competitions year-round. Don't put your feet in a pool when you don't know how to swim. X Games better stay the way it is; Extreme Sports only. Someone sitting in a chair holding a controller who is anywhere from 100 to 500 pounds is NOT an athlete. They're a professional gamer, which still isn't a bad title if you're making good money from it, so I'm not hatin just appreciatin all my brothers and sisters who do extreme sports and risk their lives for the adrenaline rush normal sports will never be able to deliver, it's just a different kind of high from extreme and non-extreme. Their's a reason they're called EXTREME sports. RIDE HARD OR GO HOME!

Everybody is actually against one side exhibition at one stop of the X Games tour, that's the equivalent to the on-site Sports Bar? I think everyone thinks this is bigger than it is. If you wanna talk about the X Games making poor choices:
