Race 4!!! Welcome to the fourth race of the season, we've got alot of people participating. Now we’ve proved that we can set world records on land, sea and air kudos gentlemen and –women! What else is there to conquer than going back to the tarmac? Ugh, how do I even sum up last race? We all dropped into our wetsuits with great drive to make that race our bitch, but she was a devious bitch. The devious waves made it hard to create consistency in our lap times and many a lot of people gave up on the waves. One man who did not give up on this race was the PS3 racer Fuggy, he certainly made the waves his bitch with the so far only <58 seconds time in the crew together with that his first ever Time Trials win, great job! Let us not forget our veteran driver Data who came in third who set a world record on the XBOX side, congratulations! It seemed like the winner of our first race IVIikeOnGTA leaped in on the deep end without his floaters. Now we will be back on his favourite surface, tarmac, and I’m sure (don’t make me wrong two times a row) he will burn some rubber and set a strong time! Current standings are as follows This race takes us back to our all familiar tarmac, thank god! You will be racing 1, ONE, lap only. This means standing laps only. The race will be Break Out The Brakes and is linked to in the following links. XBOX socialclub.rockstargames.com/games/gtav/jobs/verified/job/GeD_UAtBrEmgYgkljGQw7A?platFormId=1PS3 socialclub.rockstargames.com/games/gtav/jobs/verified/job/GeD_UAtBrEmgYgkljGQw7A?platFormId=2You will be racing in Sultans only. This season we have our first ever Featured Guest race!! This week’s guest is… KNAPPTIME!! This racer isn’t just your average racer. This man is fearless. You will most often see him come racing down the wide boulevards of Los Santos in his bronze/orange Sultan with a dozen of cops struggling to keep up with him. This guy is one of those guys you don’t want to see in your rear-view mirror, he brakes late, corners fast and isn’t afraid of trading paint! He set a solid time of 1:15:803 and if you beat this time you will earn yourself bragging rights and yourself an extra credit! You are more than welcome to post your time in this thread, even if it is just for bragging, so we can get more players to do this! Race will end Saturday May 3rd at 6 PM GMT+1, this will be at noon Eastern Standard Time. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Green Hell is still in play, one week to go, but this time in Super Cars, so take a crack at if you dare! Just did a 1:15:380, driven this track 5-6 times, and I can honestly say, I am going to hate this track! All those tricky turns IN A SULTAN! Nice track and all, but jesus man I'm already sick of it!

Dammit! 1:17... and I can't tell how you could possibly shave 4 seconds off that. You guys are ringers.

Tips and observations: so to make us all better racers let's share some sultan setup tips and observations we each may have. Do you use a wing? How about suspension? I am not sure about suspensions and seem to be switching back and forth. My tip is to use custom tires for a slight boost in grip. I could be wrong as game mechanics may not add any extra grip at all, but they look cool. Do you race with armor? How about tire selection? Any thing else? Help us out and share what you do.

IVIike's tip about feathering the accelerator will be good here, too. Car setup can make gains, but handling seems to be key. Data, where do you think you cut time where somebody else might not?

This instructor explains it very well. Apply it to every corner.

As you can guess from my avatar, my favorite car is the Carbonizzare. This car, as well as the Sultan tends to oversteer. When i race, i try to brake the least possible, instead i release the gas a few seconds before taking the corner and when i'm about to go out of the curb i hit the gas, this "technique" usually makes the car oversteer. To solve this issue what i do is never release the gas all the way but just a little bit and when i'm getting out of the curb i press the gas progressively, this way you'll always have traction while you're in the curb and avoid the drifting in the corner's exit. Maybe its just my imagination, but i've felt more control on the car doing this.
