The silencer is pretty useful for deathmatches no matter what weapon you have, and flashlights are not a good thing for deathmatches. Extended clip is always good. Idk how big a difference the other attachments make.
I find myself using the advanced assault rifle or the newest assault rifle most of the time, but I also use lmgs and the heavy sniper.

Heavy Sniper rifle. I need to disable all my flashlights. They do more harm than good. Shotguns are also nice too.

My favorites are AP Pistol, Special Carbine, Combat MG, Heavy Sniper and anything that explodes.
I also use the Gusenberg a lot simply because it's a loud, satisfying weapon to shoot.
I normally stick to free roam and survival but now that I've started playing DMs with this crew I'm probably gonna keep a silenced secondary weapon for a few classes. I'm thinking Silenced Sniper/Loud Heavy Sniper, Silenced Heavy Pistol/Loud AP Pistol. I'll probably throw a silencer on either my Carbine or Special Carbine. I'm not sure which one is more suited for it yet.

Advanced Rifle is my go to... have been toying around with the silencer on and off for the past few days (apparently silencer decreases range slightly), but I haven't noticed much difference in my game.
But the good ol' Pump Shotgun is the most satisfying kill in the game.

But the good ol' Pump Shotgun is the most satisfying kill in the game. Yeah, silencers decrease range and damage slightly. It makes it kind of tricky for me to pick an assault rifle to use them with since the Special Carbine has higher damage but an already lower range and the Carbine has better range but lower damage. Maybe I'll put silencers on the Carbine and the Advanced and just use three of them.

I've pretty much exclusively used the Special since it came out so I haven't really compared them yet. I wonder if anyone's tested them. Strange how there isn't a "Reload Speed" info bar. That would be helpful.

Here's a good comparison chart, although it doesn't have the Special Carbine for some reason: ca.ign.com/wikis/gta-5/Weapons

Lower damage but the high rate of fire keeps its DPS competitive with the other assault rifles. I just wish it were a little more accurate.

I switch between the Advanced Rifle and Special Carbine depending on the Deathmatch. Some of us consider the Assault Shotgun way OP so we started going with the pump shotty a while back and as knapptime said, it is a very satisfying kill. I don't use the Tommy Gun as much as I used to because it becomes inaccurate after the first five shots. But I do still like pulling it out once in a while.

I stick to the Combat MG. Good at medium to long range, and 200 rounds with the extended magazine. With a grip and scope, you rarely need to use another weapon. For CQB engagements, the Assault Shotgun has no equal. Even hip or blind fire will kill your target. Suppressors do decrease range and stopping power, so I rarely use them. I have one fitted to my AP Pistol, but that's it.

If the in-game stats are accurate it's a direct upgrade to the MP5 in damage, range and accuracy. I doesn't stack up aganist the assault rifles but it's the best in its own class. I've considered buying it again just to a have a backup low ammo weapon.
