Hey guys, new member here just curious about the "no killing crew members" - does this apply to bounties as well? Just want to know if I should expect to be attacked if I have a bounty. Thanks a lot!

You have to make sure it's ok that you kill them first. Usually they don't care, but always ask.

That's right. If I have a bounty and a crew member just kills me I get pissed, especially because I'm not expecting it. If someone say "hey, can I take your bounty" then yea sure, better than some random getting it. Usually if a crew mate gets a bounty they say "someone can come kill me."

I personally enjoy out running my bounties, and defending crew members with bounties in lobbies is some of the best fun.
But if a bounty pops up and they say "who wants it?" shooting them in the face with a shotgun is more than acceptable and expected.

Generally with crew members and friends I take the approach of asking first. Randoms in the lobby get no warning. That being said, if you have a bounty, you should not get all butt hurt when someone claims it.

Also don't get pissed if a crew member kills you, they may not understand right away "no killing crew member" also applies to bounties. Maybe we should add that.

However, when crew members get bounties, it's more about showing them the RESPECT to ask.

If you ask for my bounty though, you better be ready for a high speed chase. You gotta work for that cheddar.

Someone on the playstation side had a bounty the other night so i sent a message on the phone asking if it was okay if i grabbed the bounty and he answered sure. So that's probably recommended that you ask before. But if you should get killed by a crew member you could always just message and tell him/her that they should ask first. That's probably the best way to get the word around.

More people will see that quicker than if you message one person at a time.

This of course does not apply to crew members.

More people will see that quicker than if you message one person at a time. I'll bring it up really quickly with everyone and we'll reword the guidelines section to clarify bounties. But perhaps some input from everyone first: Would you prefer it if people could ask for your bounty, or if the person with the bounty should have to offer it? I can get annoyed sometimes when people continually ask for my bounties, but have no problem offering my $9000 bounty to someone who needs the money.
Either way we'll clarify the guidelines a bit.

No need, I'll just change it. I'm going to put not to repeatedly ask either.
