First, I hope this is the right place for this. So the other day I saw this youtube video done by Achievment Hunter (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ieu4UtpZFUI) It is kind of long 38 min -- but you can skim through it. Anyway, for those of you who do not want to watch it basically they did a liquor store robbery as a heist. Planned out escape routes, vehicles, placement of players etc...
So one of the main reasons I like being in a crew is doing coop stuff like this. And if you noticed how that heist went for them, they needed some practice. Something so simple as a liquor store robbery ended up with 4 of the 6 dead, mass confusion and just FAIL. But there were things that they learned (or should have learned) from this experience to make it better.
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing some stuff like this. I know there is not really any money in a liquor store robbery, but having a plan with things makes them a lot more enjoyable. We have all run missions online, and often there is no communication. You end up with 3 people calling in a buzzard when only 1 is needed, or have users driving across the map to get to an objective when someone else flies there in a helo by themselves.
So here are a couple of ideas, just to judge interest in this sort of thing:
1. Smokey and the Bandit: Team 1 starts out up in Paleto bay and steals a big rig up by the Cluckin Bell Factory, and then also have an escort driver in a Ruiner or Phoenix. Their goal is to deliver the truck to some spot on the other side of the map. Team 2 would only know where they start from and where they are headed so they have to find them (maybe no HUD for this), communicate with their team members and stop them (without blowing up the truck) and deliver truck back to Paleto Bay.
2. Store Robbery: Just like in the video. Find a store, decide on escape routes and assign tasks (sniper, driver, pilot etc...) then execute.
3. Cops and Robbers: (I actually have a team deathmatch for this). One team is cops, other team is bank robbers. Start out as cops driving around doing patrol. At some point the bank robbers rob the bank -- and announce to cops that bank is being robbed. Cops respond to bank, clear it, and then hunt down the robbers. Cops have to act like cops (so no just killing someone for nothing), robbers can act like robbers, so they can shoot at cops, but if they do, cops will shoot back. Cops have better weapons. Robbers CANNOT use police vehicles.
4. Server take over. Maybe get 6 or 8 crew on a server. Get air cover up (so someone who is good at jets can grab one and provide air cover), maybe another person in a buzzard and then a fire team of 4 or 5. Then we take over a popular area like Midtown LSC or the heliport and lock it down, not letting anyone access the area.
5. Bounty Protection / High Priority Target: We set a bounty on "the boss", The boss cannot use weapons but can use anything from their phone. The boss will have some goals set -- Go to the store, stop off at the FIB building, Go shopping for clothes, visit his meth lab in Sandy Shores etc... The rest of us need to protect the boss from any bounty hunters. Or the other way. Set a bounty on a random player in the lobby, and we all go after them for time -- can we kill them in < 5 min?
Anyway, what do you all think?
EDIT: Just for honesty sake, these are not my ideas, I have seen them kicked around in various forums and reddit etc... So I am not claiming these are unique ideas that I came up with.
