I just wanted to get a little video of the PS3 side out there...
Next time I will take a little more time editing and try to fancy it up a little more.

Woah, I was NOT expecting to see me at all and the first thing, there's us beating the crap out of an ambulance, LOL! You really should shoot me a message and explain to me what I need and how I would go about doing something like this. I want to jump on the bandwagon too. You should get us doing some death matches sometime. This was really awesome. And on another note, you are completely chaotic, LOL!

He has to change his Voice Output settings in GTA from "Headset" to "TV" because the RCA cables are taking the Video and Audio outputs from the TV. So if you make the voices output through the Left (White) and Right (Red) RCA connectors (aka just do what I said in the settings previously), you should be able to hear the voices through the TV instead of the Headset. Thus, the voices will get recorded within the audio print as well. There may even be an option to do both TV and Headset. Not completely sure.

But this is for the speakers voice. It should still capture anyone that is talking within the game lobby.

Hmm. Sounds like something I could easily pinpoint. That's one of the most important things an audio engineer has to do: troubleshoot.
My curiosity lies in this: when someone turns on their Bluetooth/Headset, are the Voices output is redirected to another output? Or are they Multed to go out to the Headset while still going out through the L&R RCA outputs?
Question for you Notch: When you are capturing, are Voices coming through your TV as well? Or are all Voice related audio projected through your headset?

That's funny. I was a producer when I was younger and was hell bent on becoming a Pro Audio Engineer in California. Hell, I still might get back to it one day. Still have most of my equipment.
Anyways, The voices come through both the TV and the Headset. I have to use a the line-in jack on my computer in order for my voice to come through to the stream. But the in-game voices are recored as long as I set it to come through the TV. So what I was trying to say was that if duber could get the in-game audio to record, it should work the same w/ voices. But i'm assuming the PS3 works the same way Xbox does... which may not be the case.

Well, I know when I was running with him in those clips, we weren't saying anything at all.

The way it's set up now will record everyone's voice except for mine. I'll have to play with the headset settings a little to hear myself. There wasn't much talking in the hour or so of video I recorded so far. I don't talk much. I'm getting addicted to recording tho so I'm sure there will be plenty more videos from PS3 soon!
