With the 1.14 update, spoilers now actually increase the traction bar in LSC and add traction. Although the bar barely increases, Broughy reported that the previous record on one of his tracks was 1.39. After the update the new record is 1.35. A difference of 4 seconds! Now we just have to wait to see if he says the blade is the fastest muscle car. Time to add spoilers to all my racing cars.

I wonder if they slow you down at all. In reality the downforce would slow you down slightly, which is the tradeoff for better traction. Has anyone noticed the speed/acceleration bar changing with spoilers too?

Yea in reality it should but this isn't reality. Regardless he said it shaved 4s off one of his times, so even if they slow you down it's still faster. But that was probably on a tight track.

Ugh, I guess I will need to ugly up my cars to compete now.
Any idea if the bigger more expensive spoilers help traction more?

Doesn't make a difference what spoiler they all have the same effect Depends on the car. I've noticed on some cars that have a bunch of spoiler options the smaller spoilers only bump the traction bar a little bit while the GT wing size options give more.
