Just curious if anyone else here enjoys cigars. Be it swishers (not for rolling blunts lol) or Fuente fuente opus x

I wish I could say something on cigars but, the closest thing I have to that is a memory of my grandpa telling me his grandmother would roll her own "Buegalars" I hope I spelled that right.

Ah yes, Bugler roll your own tobacco. I'm gonna assume she used it for cigarettes as it wouldn't make a very good cigar. Maybe this should just turn into a tobacco thread unless that's against the rules to advocate tobacco use...

Ya, she bought her own tobacco and rolled her own Buglers, she had tiny fingers. She lived well into her late 80's....Not Trying To Promote Tobacco Use!!!!!

So much for ever having money ever again but at least my humidors will always be full!

Have you ever tried REAL Cuban cigars from Cuba?

Yes I have. They can be pretty intense and definitely have a flavor profile that can only be achieved in Cuba due to soil qualities etc. I was actually hoping one of our brethren from outside the embargo would help a fellow stogie lover out lol.
Cubans are a nice treat but thanks to the embargo are too expensive to justify smoking routinely for me. There are plenty of Dominican and Nicaraguan smokes that are just fantastic. Cigar Afficiando puts out a top 25 list ever year and #1 is almost always a cuban but 2-25 represents most of the cigar producing countries quite evenly.

I just picked up a La Flor Dominicana double ligero "the digger"
This stick is huge at 8 1/2" by 60 ring gauge. For those that don't know, a cigars diameter is measured in 64ths of an inch. So this thing is just about an inch thick!
After reading reviews this is gonna take about 3 hours to smoke the whole thing lol.
I am really shocked that there aren't any other cigar fans in the crew.

I smoke Montecristo (I like number 4, even 5) or Partagás from time to time, but I don't have the patience. Maybe when I get older like this fine man:

You could always buy the dominican counterpart and swap thr bands/boxes. If the word "Havana" doesn't appear on them no one can say they are cuban
