Just watched a video on how to use pearlescent with matte, it was from january, just wondering if it is still possible to do this or if they nerf'd it, it was also a bit confusing so if someone could explain it a little better than this pleeb did in the video it would be much appreciated. Also, can you only add your crew color to the chrome, or can you use other colors as well?

Watch a different video, there are probably 100s. I never liked it so I'm not sure but I think it still works, try it out in single player first.

Yeah seems everyone does the same thing for pearlescent on matte, and it seems you can only add your crew color to chrome. Thanks for the response though

You can make your own crew and make the crew color any color you want.

I like the midnight blue matte with lime green pearl. Very chameleon-esque without the shine. Although if you like the shine Saxon Blue metallic with Lime green pearl is very similar.
