I wanted to create this thread to gather all the basic (and not that basic) info about racing. Some might seem obvious but well... everybody doesn't know everything.
You can contribute too, by posting on this thread and i will add it in here.
Frequently Asked Questions about racing and cars:
1. How can i make that boost when the race start?
A: You have to hit the accelerator when you see the green GO. Not after, not before, during the word GO.
2. Should i keep buying upgrades even if the performance stats are maxed out?
A: YES. If, for example, you bought motor upgrade level 2 and your Motor stat bar shows you that is filled. Ignore it, if you buy higher level upgrades, your car will improve its performance, doesn't matter what stats says.
3. All those external parts (Hood, Bumpers, Fenders, Spoilers, Roof) make any difference on the performance?
A: Apparently yes. In my opinion i've felt that it enhanced my car handling. In fact, the more expensive the part is, the better the result. (BASED ON MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE).
4. Carbon fiber, is that necessary?
A: YES. Buy all the carbon fiber pieces that you can get. Even if you find a carbon fiber horn, buy it and install that too.
5. I can't find the Sultan RS anywhere. Only the plain Sultan.
A: You'll never find the RS on the streets. All you have to do is find a Sultan, take it to Los Santos Customs and install it a Roll cage and then you'll have your shiny Sultan RS.
6. Which sports cars should i use for racing? by fuggy94
A: The better sports car by far is the Annis Elegy RH8 (Yes, the free one). It has the better speed, brakes, acceleration and brakes. You'll get the whole package.
7. What is all the fuss about AWD cars? What is it good about them?
A: AWD (All Wheel Drive) means that all 4 wheels of the car will have traction. The advantage about this is that you will better handling of your car and less drifting.
8. Which cars are AWD?
A: Sports
