I'm bumping this and would like serious suggestions because I need to change my gt, so a certain person won't be able to find me on xbox. Also, does the old gamertag lead to the new one? Like if I entered my old gamertag into the add friend thing, will it automatically switch to whatever my new name would be? If so, then a gamertag change would be a waste of time.

Well, that depends on how they're looking for you. If they have you on their buddies friend's list it will update your name on that list. If they have you bookmarked on a website they'll still have your account name. If you're really desperate to get away from this guy, you can try changing your GT and changing your profile motto, gamerpics and anything else that identifies you. Then maybe they won't find you so quickly. The only sure-fire way to get rid of them is to make another account, but that is a bit of a hassle. I'd say, before you do anything, look through your friend's list to see if you have any buddies on there that are also friends of the person you're trying to avoid. Then, blank out your info, change your GT, then update your info with things that don't connect you to your old account. And really, if it's really bad, you can try calling MSoft to file a grievance with the person for 'bullying' or griefing.

We don't have any friends in common, and as far as I know he doesn't use any websites. I'm not gonna file a complaint because he hasn't done anything yet. He's a guy from work that I hate and wish I never added on xbox live. He won't notice I deleted him for a while. This is kinda the extra push I needed to change my gt anyway. As I've said before, I don't really like having Numb3rOn3Gun anymore. |
