I use Steam as well. In which I bought an Alpha called "Rust" which is basically a more realistic "Minecraft" but not made to look like Leggos. Rust is too unstable. There are constant server resets. That's the point of an Alpha. You shouldn't expect to have your progress forever. |

Rust is too unstable. There are constant server resets. That's the point of an Alpha. You shouldn't expect to have your progress forever. My progress has been reset multiple times in a day. The term alpha is just an excuse to release an unfinished game, so you can make money quicker and never actually finish your game. |

Meaning if a game is progressively being worked on. How can you expect for your progress not to be reset? Whether it's multiple times in a day or once every month. Alphas are used to make money quicker, but don't expect it to function as a Beta or an official release. |

If you want to try something different get Day Z. It's a survivor Zombie game set in Russia. The devs are constantly downloading patches so the game play is constantly improving.
