Brazil 0 - 0 "Memo" Ochoa. Maybe is unfair to said that with Mexico's defense that made an excellent work but Ochoa's work was determinant.

That Brazil vs. Mexico match was classic. Those goalkeepers had their work cut out for them. Best 0-0 I've seen for a long time.

That save Ochoa made I believe the last attempt Brazil made on a header was complete instinct. If he was not standing where he was, then Brazil would have won 1-0.

Great match. Despite the nil-nil, it was fun to watch. I can assure you, mexican girls yell very loud when watching football.
Crunch time is right here. Spain-Chile today and England-Uruguay tomorrow. DRAMA!!!

What a goal from Chile. Quick passing, the ball is in.
Spain on the verge. 2 goals to avoid elimination as for now.

Aren't Spain the defending champs?

Indeed. They are the current world champions, but this generation of players is getting older, after winning 2 euros and 1 world cup in a row. They are mentally destroyed.
In the last world cup the same happened to Italy. After winning in Germany 2006 they were eliminated on group rounds on South Africa 2010.

If you put your money on Spain, I hope you get a refund.
USA might have a good chance to advance to the knockout stage. Ronaldo's knee injury could be career threatening if he plays Sunday. Reports are that he is refusing doctors orders/recommendations and plans to play against the USA. I don't wish injury on him, but I hope the US can expose him and put pressure on him.

Something weird: 1966 Austria wins musical festival Eurovision. Atlético de Madrid wins spanish League. Real Madrid wins European Cup. Deportivo de la Coruña reaches first division. Real Betis relegates to second division. Host team England wins World Cup. 2014 Austria wins musical festival Eurovision for their second time ever. Atlético de Madrid wins spanish League. Real Madrid wins European Cup. Deportivo de la Coruña reaches first division. Real Betis relegates to second division. 1966 Milan AC and Manchester United don't qualify for next season european cups. Spain is eliminated on the first round in the World Cup. 2014 Milan AC and Manchester United don't qualify for next season european cups. Spain is eliminated on the first round in the World Cup.

Well its nearly time for England to show if we can bounce back and not bottle it. Fingers crossed that we can get 3 points tonight. Win, lose or draw, if we play with heart, I will be proud. Come on England!!!!
