Sorry, I forgot this message.
I just was (trash) talking about italian oil. Of course not all the oils are mixed mafia style. Italy is still one of the last countries were craftsmanship is properly valued and you may find things (shoes, suits, furniture, food, ...) made like the old times. But, yeah, you paid for it. They produce the finest oils but you should get what you pay for: beware of virgin oil with a very good price.
That said, my argument is that in Spain the virgin oil is as good if not better (depending on your tastes. Like wine, spanish oils tend to be stronger) but we don't have the skills or motivation to sell/marketing like the italians and french do.

I like a stronger tasting oil, and I have had good ones from Spain. 2 months ago I bought a big container of oil from Chile and it was ok it was a little weak though. I like a nuttier tasting oil.
